Admission - entrance examination

The most important part of the admission is to submit an application no later than stated, i.e. for study programs taught in English it is the end of April. For the following procedure related to the Aerospace Engineering master study degree program Assoc. Prof. Jan Roháč, PhD. is responsible and when he receives the application form he will come into contact with the applicant via email. The entrance examination term is agreed and it will be carried out via Skype.

The topics for the entrance examination will be consisted of:

  • technical background:
    • classical mechanics
    • electronics and related theory – passive components R, L, C and their usage, diodes, bipolar/unipolar transistors, Ohm’s law, Faraday’s law, Kirchhoff’s law
    • classification of periodic/non-periodic signals,
    • methodology of measuring voltage, current, power, R, L, C
    • methodology of measuring non-electric quantities – i.e. temperature, pressure, vibration, position
    • amplifiers – static parameters, usage in function U-U, U-I, I-U, I-I converters
  • discussion about the applicant expectations concerning future studies and about the motivation for applying into Aerospace Engineering master program at FEE.

The procedure will be as follows:

  • about 30 minutes discussion about above stated topics
  • the FEE student office representative will write the applicant about the official decision of acceptance or rejection.
